Clarissa Burton has been writing poetry and short stories since age 8.  She has published articles in the Charleston Post-Courier, the Kansas City Start, Flourish Magazine, and the Kansas City Small Business Monthly.  She published blogs on several online websites and is the founder of Genuine Black Women Interracial Relationship® website.  She believes that life provides her many opportunities to capture stories to share with the world. 

Clarissa has a B.A. in Psychology from Ottawa University – Overland Park, Kansas, a Masters in Business from Webster University – Kansas City; and she is currently completing her doctorate in Higher Education and Adult Learning at Walden University – Minneapolis, Minnesota.   In her spare time, Clarissa enjoys working out, hiking, biking, and visiting the many beautiful Missouri wineries.  She is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of five and currently lives in Missouri with her nine year old cat named Bootsie.
